Beacon Bommie
Edit SpotAbout
Scary, beautiful, largely unsurfed and absolutely world class.
Atmosphere:
Surf it at least once to remind yourself why you surf. If you have a boat you will score beautiful waves in relative safety, win the admiration of the frustated pack at 13th and see the entire stretch of 13th Beach at once...
Additional Info:
An incredible, wrapping, horseshoeing, power packed, free fall drop into a spitting tube. The power of the wave can be seen from the side as it explodes in about four to six feet of water - enough to shield you from being crunched too badly....the paddle puts most people off (and the local grey nurse sharks). Take a 7ft pintail at least. Needs to be oil slick clean as well or you bounce off the ledges.....
