Don't know, because I haven't plucked up the balls to surf it yet...

Additional Info:
Heavy, heavy wave when the swell's up - gaping tube rifling off over wickedly shallow reef. The tube is short, and the total length of the wave is approx 30m. The bigger it is, the safer it is.

NB: The day the photo was taken, a guy got pitched onto the reef and broke his leg....

The easternmost beach on Wellington's south coast - approx 15 min drive from the city, either through Seatoun or around the waterfront from the airport. The reef is approx 100m west for the western end of the beach, with a carpark directly above it.
