bigger and just as perfect sand point is situated just north of Cherating (visable from water)always a few feet bigger with rides up to 1.2km.
Other beach breaks around the area.
Cherating only breaks during Monsoon season (Oct-April). Surfed up to 8ft.
Water is often brown and muddy from rainforest run-off.

Cherating peels forever, up tp 1.5km along a sandbar. Surfable even on small 1 ft swell it just keeps peeling. Barrells at top of point and throughout on longer days. High quality wave. Some locals and a couple of expats.

Its on the East Coast of Malaysia..Pahang,Kuantan.From city centre,use highway all the way to Kuantan,easy access..When in Kuantan..ask locals direction to Cherating..anyways,there will be sign boards to guide.Its all along the east coast shore.U can never miss it!or either that the easiest route,take a plane there..FLY!Mimi's GuestHouse is officially surf resort there..Satu suku surf shop the place u can rent the board and learn how to surf. u can ask the owner of Mimis guest house for the surftrip.he wll brings u around where the local surf. Another good option is you stay at Payung Guesthouse, you can rent surfoards, take classes and go on a surf trip with local surf guides and instructors.
