Houghton Bay

Edit Spot
About

good for a quick after work surf, rarely excellent

Atmosphere:
can get crowded, but never as bad as Lyall Bay
quite mellow atmosphere
fickle wave but can be fun
when conditions here are good, it usually means there are better waves to be had elsewhere

Additional Info:
gets deep quickly, often a shorebreak, so needs a larger swell
quite frustrating trying to catch it when it's working
