Typical peak of swell magnet Simeulue. Near to the road. Very easy access.

Atmosphere:
This spot is like a machine. We stayed on Simeulue for 11 days and surfed this place at 4ft perfection everyday - without fail. The most consistent wave I've ever seen. Good fun too!!!

JACKALS is a new wave only 11 years old was formed during the recent 2-3 meter uplift. of Simeulue Island on the SW coast during the 2004/2005 earthquakes that also caused the tsunami. With the reef raised sand from nearby beaches fills in and covers flat rock makes for perfect A-Frames and an alternative name Sumatran Trestles. Depending on swell directions produces barrels both left and right. There a surf camp dierctly in front of Jackals named CASARINA SIMEULUE owner been at Simeulue for over 15years. Has heaps of info of the area was with crew of Bohemian during exploration of the area late 90 early 2000 naming waves Thailand and Tea Bags..
