Koeelbay (caves)

Edit Spot
About

Best spot if you are a local - better than most spots I have surfed around the world.
Epic. Works even if swell is very small
When swell is too big go to Bettiesbay 20 min drive

Atmosphere:
Absolutely the most beautiful place in the world in summer - clear water, good waves, little water drizzle over the rocks, a cave and coarse white sand.
Not too crowded.
Surfchamps are held there often
SEE YOU THERE

Additional Info:
Dont leave car there at night... take off deep and get tubed!

It's a ten kilometer drive from Gordon's Bay along the coast road. You'll round one of the many corners and see the long white beach streched out in front of you. Caves is directly below. Park at the first car park across the road and walk down the single track to the Caves.
It's a summer break and picks up the most swell of any spot in Cape Town. Be friendly to the locals or they will drop in. Cars get broken into by dorks who don't have anything better to do.
