Las Salinas (Marina)
Edit SpotAbout
This spot can be very challenging! Be on top of your game, and bring a friend and a strong leash. Especially strong on a NW swell, and even catches the S summer swells. Not to good for a longboard...
Atmosphere:
The Gringo and Mexicano locals at this spot are very cool, as long as you show respect (duh, the same as just about anywhere). Surf aggressively, but be mellow! Watch out for the rip current, as it has taken a few unsuspecting swimmers out to sea only to be rescued by fellow surfers.
Additional Info:
The wave is very fast and hollow. A few locals there, but they are very cool as long as you give them their props.
Park your car next to the cantina (Angle's Cantina), that way you can grab a cerveza at the end of your session. You'll have to walk a little bit, but it's worth it. **Look between the two jettys that extend out from the marina** That's your best bet..

From the toll road going south (e.g. from Rosarito to Ensenada), look for the sign that reads, "Marina Las Salinas." Look for the kilometer (kilometro) markers along the way, and Las Salinas is approximately 73 km's. The spot is also denoted by the infamous little bar, "Angel's Camp," as that was the original name of the spot before the psuedo-marina was dredged.
