About

A very good spot to go in eastern swells. It's protected from the east wind (wich is very common here in Rio) and not so crowded as the other spots in the south area of Rio... A very fun wave....
Good barrels sometimes.

Atmosphere:
Watch out for the locals we bodysurfers rule on the spot, you’re gonna be welcome if you come but have some respect, don’t throw garbage on the sand or in the water. Just a note : I`m just putting Leme here just not to be unfair with the other spots here...

Leme point is in the left extremity of copacabana beach. It's a very inconstant wave and it tends to break well with east and south swell. Very hollow wave, for surfers it's best to go with high tide. Here you can take 4 or 5 barrels in a surf session, if you manage to drop the wave.... You can park your car in Atlantica Avenue, just in front of the waves.

Additional Info:
The bottom was changed, they threw sand on it to make a road so it became worse to surf, but sometimes it's still ok. Rarely breaks very well, only with the right tide, swell, and wind. When there is no wave in the city this is a surfable place.

It's a quick wave check there when there are no waves in the city. When the city spots are ultra crowded go there, it's probily empty.
