Loughros point
Edit SpotAbout
There is no parking so you have to basically put your car up on the verge at the side of the road, just above where u see the waves breaking (down to your left). you then have to jump over the fence and walk down through the farmers field to the rocks, where u can jump into the water. The rip of the estuary will pull you out , and then u just paddle towards shore, to get out of it again. The waves break from the rocks out into the middle of the bay. !! only at LOW TIDE!! will this place work, otherwise its flat. When you get a decent swell there can be up to 12-15ft waves, so beware.
