About

Awsome. No one around. Best time to surf is at mid-day when there is less mist to appreciate the breath-taking and isolated scenery. I believe passes to here are available but through alot of paper work and at a price, which in my opinion is a small price to pay for miles of perfect and uncrowded surf in total isolation.

Atmosphere:
The water and rocks have a strange black colour to them here and this together with the mist (which is always here) makes it a nerve racking experience to surf in. Taken many a beating here but it was deffinately worth it!

Additional Info:
There are two waves here. Firstly a pretty long lefthand reef break close to the Toscanini settlement. (Basicly infront of it.) This is a powerful spot that offers long rides but does not get very hollow. The second spot is located a short walk north of here. (you can see it from Toscanini.) This is a really scary and challenging wave which we call 'lawn mowers'. It breaks over a shallow reef with a few steel cables and other garbage thrown into the sea and can only be surfed with bodyboard. Its a short, intense ride and 7 out of 10 waves close out over the reef so timing it is essential. The wave itself is a thick and slabby beast of a wave and is only for kamakazi's who enjoy the odd beating.
