Playa Langosta
Edit SpotAbout
As much fun as Playa Negra on fair sized surf. One of the better spots in the immediate area. If you want epic surf try Roca Bruja. (witch's rock)
Additional Info:
You will notice depending on the tide tha tthe wave peaks at the same place every time. Even though this is a river mouth there is a coral head that is exposed during low tide and remains just below the surface at high tide. Also keep an eye on your position with regard to the shore. (To the north of the mouth are submerged rocks that extend from the beach out fairly far)

In the town of Tamarindo there is a dirt road that runs past Cala Luna Resort. Keep going south on this road for about 1-2km. Area was being developed with apartment buildings overlooking the break last time I was there.
