About

MAYBE YOU SHOULD SURF SOMEWHERE ELSE. IN ALL HONESTY YOU CHANCE OF CATCHING A WAVE HERE IS SIMILAR TO CATCHING A WAVE AT LUNADA BAY.

Atmosphere:
IF IT IS CROWDED, GO ELSEWHERE. THE OUTSIDE POINT IS ONLY FOR EXPERTS WITH RESPECT.

Additional Info:
Difficult access. Car towing common in neighborhood. Great wave but hard to get to. You can surf it alone or with a vibey local crew that don't want you there. Remember, its a private beach, you need a key to get in, or a long walk from Paradise cove or from Big Dume(which are both about 25 min walks, and you might get the stink eye from a few locals). High tide only because of a few big boulders in the way. Have fun and be repectful.

Easiest way to get there without breaking the law...

Get onto Westward road from PCH. Take a left turn on the street right next to the Sunset Restraunt. Go up the hill until you see a little parking lot on the side of the road, you'll see a sign saying Point Dume State Park. Walk down the dirt trail to the stairs. You get on the beach and walk over to the point you see to the south of Point Dume. Its a long walk, maybe about 20 min. Do the rock dance around the point and paddle in. Be very respectful to the locals.
