Very good spot on a South swell, good waves can be surfed behind the rocks.

Pontao is one of the best spots in Rio for big wave riding !

Atmosphere:
Everybody knows each other out there, but they are very receptive, just don´t drop in !

Additional Info:
Pontao is a dangerous wave, with lots of power. There is a killer inside. Be careful with the polution, you could get sick.

Its a really good spot for big waves, and it has some fun waves when its small.

Access

Walk to the south of Leblon beach by the street Delfim Moreira.
You can park your car in the carpark in front of the spot.
On a big day, you can jump off the rocks for a easy paddle out.
