Sugar Dock

About

Great family oriented spot. Like most breaks on Saipan, swells are generated by typhoons so gotta wait for those beasts to head over the Philippine Sea to bless us with some waves. Good place to learn how to surf, but as you head out towards the channel, watch out for the crazy rip. A few people have died there during really bad conditions because of it.

Atmosphere:
A popular beach regardless of the wave quality. Lots of families come out and bbq. A KFC and Taco Bell are in the shopping plaza.

Additional Info:
Great spot for beginners, longboards, and SUPs. Ample parking in the shopping plaza located next to the hotel. Beach parking available too, but can get a bit hectic and crowded.
